Little Egypt Writers' Society (LEWS) is a group of very creative Southern Illinois writers.
Whether we are beginning writers or seasoned veterans, we meet with our peers for the purpose of enhancing our writing skills. Writing is a solitary
pursuit, but it does not have to be a lonely one. Whether we come to vent our frustration or share our latest accomplishment, we make every effort
to provide valuable constructive criticism and friendly feedback.
Come join us. We are an eclectic group involved in writing lyrics, magazine articles, newspaper columns, poetry, books and family histories.
We are committed to the support and encouragement of each member, both published and unpublished, as they pursue their dream of writing.
LEWS meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 P.M. and on the 4th Thursday of the month at 1:30pm at the Art Centre. Several of our authors' books are available in the
LEAA gift shop or CLICK HERE to connect with LEWS book sales.
Everyone is welcome to the meetings, so we hope to see you there!
